The primary purpose of this position is to manage and oversee, on behalf of the Director of Staff and Center Commander, all formal tasks and suspense in the organization, to include management and tracking of higher headquarters tasks, development and operation of a formal system to track and manage internally generated suspense, and oversight/management and coordination with directorate and subordinate.
- Translate intent/direction from AFTAC senior leadership and decision makers into specific actionable tasks and institute a system and methodology to track those tasks to completion. - With little to no supervision, analyze incoming higher headquarters taskings and requests from interagency and other partner organizations, translate those requirements into actionable tasks.
- Establish and manage effective working relationships with task managers in AFTAC directorates, special staff, and subordinate units and organizations, and with HHQ task managers. - Maintain management of AFTAC's Task Management System (ATMS) to track assignment and accomplishment of tasks, both throughout the organization and packages sent outside the unit. - Serve as Command Section Resource Manager.
Effectively manage Command Section budget, to include management of temporary duty (TDY) and government purchase card (GPC) accounts.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel Systems (DCIPS) position implemented under Section 504, Title V of Public Law 99-569, Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1987, as codified in Sec 1601, Chap 83 of Title 10 United States Code which sets forth Air Force policies and procedures for DCIPS. This position is in the Excepted Service.
