Job Summary

NIST is seeking a Technology Transfer Agreements Specialist to negotiate technology transfer agreements, including Cooperative Research and Development Agreements, Material Transfer Agreements, and Non-Disclosure Agreements, and to provide tech transfer training and advice to NIST staff. This notice is issued under direct-hire authority to recruit new talent to occupations for which NIST has a severe shortage of candidates.

Key Responsibilities

The major duties of the Technology Transfer Agreements Specialist include: Applying biological sciences expertise to support all aspects of NIST technology transfer agreement development. Providing technology transfer services, including drafting and negotiation of Cooperative Research and Development Agreements, consortia agreements, material transfer agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and research collaboration agreements.

Working with external organizations, NIST researchers, and NIST attorneys to develop and execute agreements. Coordinating with assigned NIST laboratories to provide technology transfer advice and training and identify collaboration points during the research process.

Requirements & Education

This position has an education requirement. Transcripts must be submitted to validate that the education requirement has been met. Unofficial transcripts will be accepted in the application package. However, an official copy will be required before a final offer of employment. Use of foreign education for qualifications. An accredited organization must evaluate education completed outside of the U.S.
