This position is part of the Department of Energy's Office of Indian Energy Policy and Programs. As a Tribal Engagement Specialist, you will coordinate and conduct outreach and engagement activities that will advance energy projects on Tribal lands.

Veterans shape the future of energy As a full performance level Tribal Engagement Specialist at the GS-14 level, you will: Execute strategies for Tribal and stakeholder engagement activities.
Organize outreach programs, to include event participation, in order to build relationships with Indian tribes, Alaska Natives and Native American communities to further advance energy projects. Coordinate external-face meeting planning, analyze outreach impacts, and develop reports, findings and briefings to agency leadership.
Represent and serve as a point of contact in meetings with tribal leaders, federal officials and external stakeholders to advance tribal energy development while respecting federal treaty and trust obligations. Analyze data and develop solutions to improve work processes and operations associated with engagement opportunities with Tribes. Act as a resource to assist tribes in gaining information on accessing a variety of energy programs.
