The ideal candidate will have familiarity with federal grants management, cooperative agreements, and other funding instruments used by the federal government, as well as baseline knowledge of property management.
What will I do in this position if hired? In this position, you will serve as an Emergency Management Specialist within the National Preparedness Directorate.
Typical assignments include: Serving as an administrative support specialist responsible for monitoring federal grants, coordinating grant activities with program managers, supporting the development and execution of contracts to include micro purchase contracts, and serving as an action officer within a business administration branch of a training and education organization.
Managing electronic correspondence to communicate with training and education program managers and other business offices within FEMA Resilience and the National Preparedness Directorate to request data and information, report the status of tasks and activities, and also participates in meetings and working groups.
Leading activities resulting in timely and accurate information on the status of actions, activities, and processes to stakeholders, partners, and leadership, and provides details related to requests for information and data, including financial and contract data. Effectively leading coordination with training and education program managers and other business offices to share information, resolve problems, and complete tasks and activities.
