In this Human Resources Specialist position, you will become a key team member of Homeland Security professionals responsible for performing assignments requiring the application of fundamental principles, concepts, techniques and guidelines in a human resources specialty area. This position starts at a salary of $62,297.00 (GS-9, Step 1) to $80,991.00 (GS-9, Step 10) with promotion potential to $97,991 (GS-11 Step 10).

Major Duties: Applying a wide range of human resources management concepts, laws, policies, practices, and analytical/ diagnostic methods and techniques to address substantive technical issues. Examining pay, premium pay, 3Rs incentives practices to advise on pay entitlements associated with various work scheduling scenarios and provide estimates related to costs incurred by work scheduling options.
Providing comments and recommendations on the development or modification of agency policy, directives and standard operating procedures to improve internal processes and procedures. Participating as a member in various integrated project teams and activities and provides necessary input on HR laws, regulations, principles, procedures, or practices.
