WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As a Human Resources Specialist, you will: Provide comprehensive HR advisory and consultative services to managers, supervisors, and customers on a full range of human resources issues; interpreting laws, regulations, policies, orders, and decisions; develops alternatives; and provides authoritative recommendations on HR programs and operations Perform Federal recruitment, staffing, and placement activities, including advising management on recruitment strategies and hiring mechanisms, conducting job analyses and qualification determinations, applying appointing authorities, and ensuring recruitment actions comply with merit system statutes, regulations, and delegated examining requirements.
Analyze and resolve complex or sensitive HR issues Participate in HR studies and cross-functional teams; and develop findings, recommendations, policy guidance, procedural improvements, or solutions to HR program issues and barriers.
Perform the full spectrum of staffing and recruitment services, including developing and posting vacancy announcements, evaluating applicants, issuing certificates, reviewing selections, extending job offers, coordinating onboarding, and processing associated personnel and pay actions.
Foreign Education: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show that the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
