Job Summary

This position serves as the Logistics Management Specialist - Assistant Chief Supply Chain Officer (ACSCO), assisting the Chief Supply Chain Officer (CSCO) in developing and integrating a supply chain that meets the logistical requirements of the VA Health Care Systems and supported catchment areas.

Key Responsibilities

Major duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Oversees, guides, manages, and integrates supply chain operations across the organization; Plans and coordinates fiscal, acquisition, clinical and administrative operations; Establishes, monitors and manages the performance and measurement of logistics functions for all aspects of the supply chain; Conducts logistics audits, compliance reviews and program effectiveness/efficiency reviews; Manages all activities involved in the supply chain management to include sourcing, procurement and logistics management activities; Responsible for linking major business functions and processes within the organization into a cohesive and high-performing business model; Forecast planning and budget execution for supplies, subsistence, durable medical equipment, medical gases, expendable/non-expendable and capital equipment, inventory management, warehouse operations, transportation and distribution; Leads and/or participates in regular meetings, ensuring logistics needs and requirements are being met; and Performs other related duties as assigned.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30AM to 4PM. Work schedule is subject to change based on agency needs. Telework (ad hoc): This position may be authorized for telework.
