WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As an Microbiologist , you will use your knowledge and experience to optimize business results and customer experience by: Performing microbiology and related fields support work in various scientific and public health areas associated with numerous microorganisms and biological agents.
Calibrating and operating laboratory instruments that are necessary to perform specialized tests, analyses and other standard procedures in conducting experiments and studies. Analyzing laboratory data, evaluate experimental findings, and repeat or modify experiments when necessary to resolve discrepancies or validate results.
Ensuring proper collection of data and conduct experiments and studies, making adjustments in methods and procedures as appropriate during the course of the studies or experiments. Preparing scientific reports, technical documentation, and laboratory records to support research findings, surveillance activities, and public health decision-making.
Foreign Education: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show that the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
