WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As a Supervisory Research Microbiologist, you will: Conceives and directs major, multi-phase basic and applied research in a microbiological specialty area. Reviews experimental protocols, advises on the operational aspects of the studies and is responsible for review, appraisal and interpretation of final experimental results. Develops new and innovative research methods to attack highly complex fundamental issues.
Evaluates extramural research projects and recommends revisions, continuations or terminations as necessary. Prepares publications and presentations. Represents the agency on scientific committees.
Foreign Education: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show that the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
