The Staff Assistant assists in supporting the Chief, Social Work Services (SWS) Service goles. In a supportive nature, the Staff Assistant performs or assists with a variety of non-clinical functions to support the overall mission, vision efficiency and effectiveness. Advanced skills in Excel, and PowerPoint are required.
Major duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Provide administrative and managerial assistance Coverage for SWS Administrative Staff Skill in report preparation using Excel, PowerPoint Data entry, data management, analyze and evaluate SWS program via data analysis, reports, project and information from various sources. Prepares weekly, monthly and quarterly reports for contract programs.
Participates in internal review system, ensuring both clinical and administrative activities are following agency, accrediting and regulatory requirements. Evaluation, collection and indexing materials, gathered data from internal and external sources. Knowledge of Federal Government policies, regulations and trends.
Supports Staff in planning and conducting studies, analyze finds and contributes to recommendation for SWS programs, prepares, reports and presents briefings to managers. Assists in interpretation of program and budget directives. Manages Fund Control Points and community contracts. Purchase cardholder and complies with Federal and VA Acquisition Regulation and policies. Reconciles, resolves all charges.
