Summary The primary purpose of this position is to serve in a key staff professional position as a first level supervisor, planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over nonsupervisory employees serving as Curriculum Development Instructional Systems Specialists assigned to the NAF Headquarters, Technical Training Operations Center, Air Force Career Development Academy (AFCDA).
As the AFCDA Chief, Curriculum Development Branch, ensures staff effectively and efficiently supports the command missions and functions representing Headquarters Second Air Force and Headquarters Air Education Training Command in the development and evaluation of career development courses utilized for the Air Force upgrade training program and the Weighted Airman Promotion System.
The AFCDA manages the USAF Career Development Course program for all members of the AF, Air National Guard and AF Reserve Command. Duties Plans, organizes and directs the activities of the Curriculum Development Branch ensuring that work complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs. Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
Executes Curriculum Development Branch responsibilities and supervises the subordinate course development Instructional Systems Specialists in performing program management functions. Represents Headquarters Second Air Force, Technical Training Operations Center, Air Force Career Development Academy with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
