The primary purpose of this position is to be a strategic partner of the warfighter providing the human resource expertise and policies to attract, develop, motivate and retain a diverse workforce.
Key Responsibilities
Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities at least 25% of the time. As AFTC Deputy Director of Personnel shares with the Director on the full scope of responsibility for managing the activities of the Directorate. As Deputy, plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the Personnel Directorate.
Assist Director in overseeing and standardizing AFTC Force Support functional policy and processes, as well as managing the functional workforce across the Center to include workforce planning, performance management, advocating for resources, training management, developmental opportunities, and assessing current and projected workforce requirements. Participates in special projects and initiatives and performs special assignments as Deputy.
