Job Summary

Assists the Chief, Dental Service to manage financial and human resources, personnel actions, internal control, logistics, budget, strategic planning, and general administration related to the dental service functions. Functions as the primary administrative point of contact for the service with New Orleans VAMC and VISN executive leadership.

Assesses the needs of clients and customers and provides information or assistance to resolve their problems and satisfy their expectations. Uses knowledge of available products and services to deliver high-quality support. Adapts behavior or work methods in response to new information, changing conditions, or unexpected obstacles.

Gathers, organizes, maintains, and delivers relevant information for a specified need or requirement. Determines the importance and accuracy of information and works to ensure its completeness. Aids with civilian personnel actions, allocations, and utilization.

Advises and provides information to supervisors and employees on matters related to civilian personnel administration, disciplinary problems, counseling, leave abuse history, evaluation requirements and procedures, etc. Maintains close liaison with Human Resources Management Service. Planning, coordination, and execution of business functions, resource allocation, and production.

Works and communicates with clients and customers (e.g., any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit provides, including individuals who work in your agency or in other agencies or organizations outside the Government) to satisfy their expectations. Committed to quality services. Work Schedule: Monday- Friday; 07:30am- 04:00pm; subject to change based on the needs of the facility. Virtual: This is not a virtual position.
