As a Risk Analyst within FEMA's Engineering and Modeling Division the candidate will provide geospatial expertise to a wide range of highly complex initiatives focused on the application of geospatial sciences for flood risk assessment, while managing complex geospatial projects with numerous stakeholders and varied strategic objectives.
What will I do in this position if hired? In this position, you will serve as an Emergency Management Specialist (Risk Analyst). Typical assignments include: Serving as a project leader and point of coordination for FEMA programs pertaining to geospatial flood risk assessment.
Providing geospatial expertise in the following program areas: risk analysis, geospatial modeling, data management, technological innovation, tools development (Hazus), and the development of loss modeling methodological guidance. Providing geospatial risk analysis support for estimating flood risk to communities. What else do I need to know?
