The primary purpose of this position is: To function as a logistics management specialist providing operational analysis and decision making in support of planning, development and execution of logistics policies and programs supporting transportation and supply chain distribution operations.
Studies logistics and air transportation operations. Provides HQ AMC and HQ USAF policy guidance and consultation to the AMC units for a specific program area. Independently works on specified portions of large-scale projects and projects that require the application of standardized logistics management methods and procedures that are performed by other higher graded specialists or management officials.
Furnishes guidance on logistics requirements to Division management, Directorate leadership, AMC units, USTRANSCOM, and DOD agencies.
