This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services, National Center for Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases, headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia.

Key Responsibilities

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As an Public Health Advisor , you will use your knowledge and experience to optimize business results and customer experience by: Hiring and supervising international program staff. Communicating effectively with agency and interagency leaders to coordinate global health programs. Developing global program plans and monitors implementation. Serving as a senior advisor to the center director for global health programs.

Serving as a senior representative on agency and interagency global health committees and meetings. This position has 20% supervisory duties, candidates must also have demonstrated or shown the potential to develop the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities. Applicants should describe any previous experience or responsibilities which could be used in relation to the supervisory requirements of this position.

Requirements & Education

Foreign Education: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show that the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
