Job Summary

This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Inspector General, Office of Investigations. You must meet the requirements of the job by 11:59 (Eastern Standard Time) of the closing date: 10/05/2026. Resumes must be no more than 2-pages in length. Duty location will be at a current OIG Regional or Field Office upon selection. The salary for this position will be adjusted based on the duty location.

Key Responsibilities

Duties for the Supervisory Criminal Investigator, GS-1811-14 for the Office of Investigations, includes but not limited to: Duties included at the GS-14 but are not limited to: Planning assignments of team members with proper geographic and time distribution.

Serving as a focal point for inquiries directed to the Office of the DIGI from key officials in OIG, in other departments and agencies, the Congress, representatives of State and local governments, grantees, contractors, and individuals with respect to the varied functions of the investigative program. Represents OI in external and internal stakeholder meetings and congressional hearings, as directed by OI Executive Management.

The incumbent briefs senior level departmental officials, gives speeches, and participates on committees related to strategic projects and initiatives related to investigations, investigative programs and law enforcement operations as directed by OI Executive Management. Leading work groups and represents the DIGI on committees or action teams focused on managed care initiatives relevant to the OI.

The incumbent serves as OI's representative to working groups, committees, and organizations at DHHS level and other Federal agencies. Monitors ongoing program and investigative activities for each individual of the team and revises plans and reschedules assignments as unexpected problems arise.
